We wrote this ad because were looking for our dream EA for the Director of Coaching.
Most recruitment ads are pretty boring. They dont tell you much about what you might actually be getting yourself into if your application were to be successful.
But, our business isnt like most others, and, as youll soon see, our recruitment ads arent like most others either. Youre probably already getting that feeling.
To save us both some time wed like to ask that if as youre reading this ad youre thinking, These people sound like my people, Id love to work with them we would definitely like you to apply.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Unlike many businesses who see this kind of position as just admin we know that a great Executive Assistant is a secret weapon.
In this role youll be reporting to the Director of Coaching and will be working very closely with the other coaches and a small group of clients too.
The EA to the DoC in our business is a new role, created with a crystal clear set of priorities, deliverables and expectations.
Its the perfect role for the kind of person who appreciates the beauty and sophistication that clarity, structure and systems offer because the Director of Coaching is an organised man who has a penchant for mind maps and checklists.
The successful candidate will walk right into a well-articulated set of priorities and many checklists and processes already established which will allow you to almost instantly set about administering the systems with the trademark grace and efficiency we envision you will have.
However having said that things arent perfect and one of the reasons this role has been created is so that somebody will be able to dedicate the appropriate amount of time to improving these V1.0 systems.
Overall areas of responsibility include:
- EA responsibilities for the Director of Coaching (of which all other aspects form a part)
- Coaching program oversight and communication with the other coaches
- Client services management for the Director of Coachings personal clients
- Liaison between Coaching Department and the rest of the business
Point # 1 above includes support for Scott in various different ways - for example, making sure that his non-negotiables (like his workout sessions and his ride to work in the morning) are protected and not moved aside to accommodate a meeting.
This position has been created to provide the support that the Director of Coaching needs to be able to reclaim enough of his personal life and mental energy to be able to do what he does best even better (and so he doesn't burn out because thats not what Slipstream is all about on any level at all!).
When this result is achieved the overall impact will be that the business is able to grow, our clients continue to enjoy our trademark high quality personalised service and their businesses grow, the DoC achieves a sense of balance and the new EA to the DoC feels a huge sense of pride and achievement at having been the catalyst for these other things being possible.

You find yourself noticeably irritated when youre a customer somewhere and their systems or processes are so obviously not effective and you just wish that you could help them fix the problem. This obsession with things working well (as in they make sense and are easy to do) is a hallmark of your personality.
You're naturally organised with an affinity for adhering to and maintaining systems and ideally youd consider yourself pretty tech-savvy when it comes to doing things online (Zoom meetings, using on-line platforms and learning about new software pretty quickly).
On our wish-list is someone who is goal orientated and thrives on working towards and achieving goals. Our business is goal driven and as such if the new EA naturally enjoyed that style of working, it would make things easier and more fun.
In addition to the usual set of skills youd expect a role like this to include, to work well with the DoC youll need to notice the little things and take the time to add the small touches that are often overlooked but are immensely powerful.
Little things like offering the DoC a drink when you know hes been working for hours on Zoom calls and you havent seen him leave the office will go a very long way to being able to provide the kind of support he needs from his EA.
Scott is not the kind of boss to take this sort of consideration for granted either, hes equally kind and considerate providing clear direction, plenty of guidance and support and frequent feedback. Hes also great at acknowledging and appreciating the people in his team.
You have an appreciation for the finer things in life, not that youre a snob by any means, but things like quality and timeless elegance are important to you and you appreciate art, literature and philosophy or the more academic side of business in one way or another.

This is a full-time role and youll be based in our amazing new offices in300 Adelaide Street, Brisbane
We will be moving into our brand new office in May 2021 that has been designed specifically for our requirements and to allow for the growth we have planned.
The building has five-star end of trip facilities (think fresh fluffy towels daily and day-spa like vibe) as well as an entire floor of event space for us to use.
Were planning a cafe-style coffee machine in the new kitchen but until that arrives Motorwagen restaurant is our go to. We dont have onsite parking for cars but lots of us ride bikes and our CEO will almost certainly try to lend you an ebike at some stage so you can give it a try too.
The building is planning a yoga lawn on the roof terrace and we look forward to hosting a cocktail event in that space just as soon as we get the keys!
