An outstanding career opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team with engagement via one of our Industry Partners.
THE ROLE
In this role you will provide assistance to the Human Resources and Payroll department and the duties of this position will include but are not limited to:
regular, timely and accurate processing of payroll;
undertaking reconciliations of superannuation, long service leave, taxation and workers compensation payments.
conducting payroll inductions;
reviewing and approving contractor timesheets;
reviewing invoices for labour costs;
management of expense claims;
maintenance of employee files and records;
assisting to co-ordinate and administer Human Resources and Payroll policies and procedures
Provision of advice to employees and supervisors
Ensuring compliance with legislative and taxation requirements
Providing support in the day-to-day delivery of human resources functions as required.
THE PERSON
Successful candidates will possess the following:
Demonstrated experience in payroll or human resources functions
Fast and accurate data entry
Payroll software experience preferred not essential
Strong computer literacy skills
Attention to detail
Applicants should possess a mature positive work attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team environment and the capability to meet strict deadlines.
