Manager - CFO Services. Leave Audit?

The Role:

  • Oversee a portfolio of both junior listed and premium private clients across the pharmaceuticals, mining and retail sectors, amongst others.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to support internal finance functions. Prepare work papers and management reports (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Accounts Payable/Receivable etc).
  • Act as the primary client interface, responding to queries and attending onsite meetings, as required.
  • Review the output of a small team (based locally and offshore) with the view to assume direct report accountability in the medium term.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to create ‘best practice’ systems internally. Strive for constant improvement and refinement.
  • Assist with the preparation of new business proposals and coordinate the onboarding of new clients.
  • Create work process flows to ensure timely reporting.

Some Realistic Expectations:

  • This role requires you be proactive, take ownership of tasks, and follow through on action items with a high degree of reliability and accuracy. You’re someone who can seek solutions independently.
  • The work environment can be high energy. If you’re a wallflower, this may not suit.
  • Strong communication skills are essential. In time you will be leading meetings and delivering presentations. It’s important you’re comfortable developing these skills over time.  

Skills Required:

  • 1-4 years of experience as an Audit Manager 
  • CA/CPA qualifications
  • Advanced Excel skills (comfortable in the use of pivot tables, Vlook up, Hlookup etc.)
  • A general understanding of basic taxation (GST, FBT etc) and journals.
