Snr Bookkeeper / Finance Manager

Established in 1967, Metaval is a small engineering sales company and importer.  We are currently seeking a highly experienced bookkeeper/finance manager with strong computer skills to manage all the financial operations of the business.

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to),

 

• AI functions and management of AR and AP (including overseas suppliers)
• Payroll (monthly, 5 employees), including superannuation payment, leave management, Workcover and PRT submissions etc.
• Bank reconciliation and cash management
• Preparation and lodgment of monthly BAS return
• Inventory management, incl. job costings/goods receipting using foreign currency
• Journal preparation and account reconciliations, month end and year end processing, reconciling, and reporting

 

You will be reporting to the owner/manager of the business and liaising with an external accountant.

 

To be successful in the role, you will need to have at least 5 years experience in a similar role, be highly organized and have strong attention to detail.  Knowledge of MYOB AccountRight accounting software, Ostendo inventory software and Keypay payroll software would be an advantage, as would experience with customer/supplier contract requirement reviews.
