SKYTEK is a growing provider of Fixed and Rotary wing Aircraft Maintenance based in Cairns. Skytek is a leading AMO holding Part 145 approvals in Australia and in several overseas countries, with increasing expansion in this service to other areas worldwide.

We are seeking a motivated individual with experience to join our dynamic and team driven environment. The role being offered is a full time position based in Cairns with hours of operation 0730 -1600 Monday to Friday, but this may vary due to operational requirements.

The primary objective of this position is to provide day to day management and support of the procurement, stores and materials, and freight handling processes.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily functions of the procurement of parts, freight handling, goods receipting and shipping for Aircraft maintenance.
  • Manage the overall supply and logistics of Skytek to ensure a seamless process for the supply for all projects.
  • Develop and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Stock Management develop and implement stock management and control to ensure cost effective stock management.
  • On time parts supply.
  • Materials planning.
  • Freight planning and management.
  • Update computer maintenance / spares program as required.
  • Work closely with the responsible engineering manager to ensure the procurement and supply department are aware of parts requirements for planned maintenance.
  • Track, update, maintain and provide reports as required.
  • Ensure all health, safety, security and environment policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Manage annual stocktake.
  • Manage any procurement/logistics audit requirements.
  • Ensure all corporate information is captured within the companys business systems, adhering to record keeping policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Section criteria:

  • Experience in Microsoft package word, excel, outlook.
  • Experience in warehouse operations is essential.
  • Experience in airline operations is preferred.
  • Maintenance planning experience.
  • Management and supervision of staff is required.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Ability to hold airside security clearance.
  • Procurement experience an advantage.
  • Forklift license is advantageous.
  • Drivers license is essential.
  • Dangerous goods certification and experience also advantageous.
