The role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your primary focus will be to ensure the provision of payroll services to approximately 120 employees (for AUS & NZ) in an accurate and timely manner.

As a valued member of the finance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monthly End to End Payroll Process
  • Review, Calculate & Report Sales Commissions & Bonuses
  • Statutory Reporting - PAYG Tax payments to ATO
  • Processing of Monthly & Annual Payroll Tax returns
  • Processing of Monthly superannuation contribution payments
  • Reconciliation of all payroll balance sheet accounts
  • Processing of Leave Accruals and Balance Reporting  
  • Timely and Accurate resolution of payroll related queries
  • Monthly Management Payroll Reporting
  • Responding to all payroll related queries & follow-up
  • Ownership of employment entity accounting system
  • Assist with quality control checks and ensure on-going compliance
  • Other Adhoc duties as required

About You:

To be successful in the role, you will have at least 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar Payroll position.  You will also have

  • A good understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
  • Experience using MYOB & Dynamics NAV & Business Central 365 system would be an advantage but not essential. 
  • Experience using CloudPayroll & iPayroll system would be an advantage but not essential
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite Skills
  • Experience with complex commission calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong organisation skills, deadline conscious and driven 
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure 
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to execute duties in the best interests of the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency and computer literacy 
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as an effective team member
