Who is IMO

Independent Metallurgical Operations (IMO) is an industry leader in providing "everything metallurgy" to the mining and minerals industry. IMO has provided support to the mining industry over the last 21 years through our metallurgical laboratory, operations support group and consulting team.

The IMO consulting group located in West Perth covers all aspects of metallurgy (mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy) for mining projects all around the world and over a vast range of commodities. The consulting group advises on aspects as diverse as geometallurgy, testwork design & management, flowsheet design, feasibility studies, owner representation, due diligence through to site support and process plant optimisation.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in:

• Hydrometallurgical processes, specifically acid based systems
• Project pilot plant management
• Process optimisation including testwork studies
• Maintaining a high level of communication with the team to completely understand and clarify the scope of work and project data interpretation
• Investigating and providing all pertinent information for project deliverables to be executed
• Preparing budget cost estimations for testwork programs
• The preparation of quality proposals, submissions, and tenders within a timely manner

What you will need for this role

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and/or Industrial Chemistry
• Have 5 10 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven computer literacy in:
  • MS Office (Office 365) suite particularly Excel
  • MS Visio
• Experience working in the minerals industry
