About us

Founded on spiritual support and personal connection, The Forrest Centre is a Riverina-based care provider.  We are a registered charity that has been working with the community for almost 40 years to ensure elderly people across the region receive the care and attention they deserve. The Forrest Centre includes Forrest Community Services for at-home care across the Riverina as well as residential aged care in Wagga Wagga at Loreto Home of Compassion (76 residents), Mary Potter Nursing Home (70 residents) and The Forrest Centre Hospice (10 residents). We employ almost 300 staff across the region, who all share the same dedication to respectful, compassionate and people-centred care.

About the role

You will report to the Facility Manager, and be responsible for carrying out and maintaining The Forrest Centre's high standards in terms of administration and customer service.

You will:

About you

You'll have:

• A genuine interest in working with the elderly.
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working as part of a cooperative team.
• The ability to communicate effectively with the residents, family members and staff.
• Experience in reception and switchboards.
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and data bases.
• Previous experience with computer cash handling, EFTPOS and receipting.
• An attitude of empathy, patience, tolerance and discretion.
• Willingness to learn practices and procedures in a positive, safe working environment.
• Experience working in aged care or the health sector (highly regarded).
• Work rights for Australia (visa sponsorship will not be offered).
