Project Manager - Custom Detailed Joinery 

Ryde Joinery is seeking an experienced and energetic Project Manager to join our team to deliver custom detailed joinery projects.

Operating for over 40 years, we specialise in high profile commercial projects including pub/club, office, hotels, shop and high-end residential work fit outs. We work with well-known builders and architects to produce award-winning results (as recognised by the Australian Shop and Office Fitting Industry Association (ASOFIA)).

We work in a close-knit team and pride ourselves in producing high quality joinery work. We always look for opportunities for employees to develop, grow and be promoted within the business.

This role requires an understanding of the design and joinery construction process, as well as excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be required to liaise between the office, factory and site staff as well as with clients, architects and suppliers in a professional manner to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, articulate and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a positive, proactive team player.


The role:

  • You will be responsible for managing end-to-end life cycle of projects (including planning, programming, completing variations, site attendance, measuring, safety, reporting);
  • Working collaboratively with office, factory and site staff to achieve outcomes and organisational objectives; and
  • Working collaboratively with clients.


Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years project management experience within the commercial joinery and fit-out industry (trade qualification in joinery desirable);
  • Proven ability to manage projects;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Experience using Pytha (advantageous); and
  • Knowledge of Shoppak and Microsoft Project (advantageous).
