ESTIMATOR - CIVIL & LANDSCAPE

The medium-sized company has a proven record, completing multimillion-dollar projects for both commercial and government clients. With an established team, and some exciting opportunities coming up, Romba is planning for further growth in the years to come.

About the position:

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented and professional estimator, with a minimum 2-3 years of experience in the industry. You will report directly to the General Manager. There will be opportunity to grow with the business, as we target winning projects between $500,000 and $2,000,000.

Key responsibilities:

• Review incoming tender requests to determine if works match Rombas target project criteria.
• Liaise with clients to source new tender opportunities.
• Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Formulate tender submissions. 
• Assist with post-tender processes to achieve project wins.

Other requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in landscape or civil construction.
• Detailed understanding of construction processes across landscape and civil works.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Ability to efficiently manage handover to project construction team, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with relevant programs including Bluebeam, Excel, etc.
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
• An understanding of Safety, Environment and Quality management systems.
• Works well both individually and within a team environment.
