About the Role
In this role you will be working in the Connected Communities team to provide professional and positive support services to meet the strategic and business requirements of the department, in particular the Manager of Connected Communities and will effectively coordinate the administration of the Department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the provision of an efficient and effective administrative and customer support role to the Manager Connected Communities, Coordinators, staff, internal and external customers.
  • Assisting with research and benchmarking projects.
  • Overseeing the department’s responsibilities in regard to City Plan and other CoGG reporting requirements.
  • Maintaining the highest ethical standards, exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive issues handled within the office.
  • Organising events and functions related to the activities and projects as directed by the Manager.
  • The coordination of diaries, meetings, events and development programs for the Manager.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or extensive secretarial, administrative and financial experience.
  • Highly developed organisational and customer service skills and the ability to manage a range of tasks simultaneously and anticipate the needs and set priorities for the Manager.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Well-developed written communication skills to prepare correspondence, reports, research (including using the internet), minutes and presentations for the department Coordinators and Manager.
  • Ability to establish a network of specialists to bring about improvements to current systems.
