Service Technician

We are currently seeking the services of an experienced, diligent & passionate Caravan Repairer/Technician to join our Team at Base Camp Australia.

Service Technician

Job Type:

Full-time Monday to Friday with rotating Saturday 

Primary Location: 

7 Niche Parade, Wangara, WA, 6056 

(Note this role includes working industry shows not held at the above location)

Reporting to:

General / Sales Manager

 

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

• Work with the Sales Team for scheduling in Campers for repair and warranty work.
• Completing handovers with clients on new and used campers and Hybrids. 
• Order and manage stock levels for spare parts required within the Service Department.
• Support Sales Team as and when required.
• Ensure the highest levels of customer service are being met.
• Completing all repairs and warranty work.
• Ensure Service area is maintained in a safe and clean manner at all times.
• Attend weekly team meetings as required  

Skills and Experience: 

Qualifications 

• Hold a current Western Australian Drivers License 
• Hold a forklift ticket is desired however not essential.
  
   

Experience 

• Must have a passion for the great outdoors and camping 
• Previous experience in the RV / Leisure industry in a similar role (preferred)
• Previous experience in the 4WD industry in a similar role (preferred)
• Experienced in CRM, POS Systems 

Skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication 
• Positive can-do attitude 
• Someone who can put their hand to anything - a Jack of All Trades
• Must be competent in working with power & hand tools
• Strong ability to work autonomously & unsupervised
• Self-motivated, energetic, organised and able to meet deadlines 
• Problem-solving skills
• Technical knowledge of Camper Trailers including 12v electrical - batteries/solar/LED lighting and Plumbing
• Lite mechanical knowledge incl brakes/suspension/axles/wheels/coupling

This is a Full-Time Position, with an expectancy to work some Saturday's, when required. We are offering a competitive salary, based on experience, to the right candidate.
