We are currently seeking a proficient, passionate, motivated and innovative Finance/Payroll officer to join our team in Inverell on a full-time basis.

This roles sits within the finance and quality team and ensures compliance around Brighter Access financial management systems.

Primary duties of this role include (but are not limited to) accounts receivable and payable, data entry and all aspects of payroll processing. This role is key to ensuring that payroll processes are timely, accurate and compliant.

Brighter Access are seeking a team player who is able to work cohesively across different teams under minimal supervision. 

Key to this role is the ability to competently follow team processes and procedures, whilst having the ability and knowledge to make suggestions that will contribute to positive change in the broader finance team. 

Selection Criteria 

  • Broad understanding of the organisation and sector, professional practices and the internal/external environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications with industry experience or equivalent knowledge and experience within the Disability sector.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritize workload and competing demands.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • You must have the ability to adapt to business requirements in a positive, professional and productive manner
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to resolve issues in a positive manner with a solution-focused approach
  • Applicants must have a drivers licence, Working with Children Check and NDISWC.
