Business Development Manager

Ontex is a leading international healthcare company that operates in over 110 countries worldwide. We develop and manufacture high-quality products for Baby Care, Feminine Care and Adult Care and is the partner of choice for thousands of consumers within nursing homes, hospitals and the community market.

Ontex Australias head office is based in Eastern Creek, Sydney. This position is based in Victoria and it's part of the Ontex Healthcare division of the business. The BDMs primary role will be to prospect for and win new customers within VIC / TAS primarily focused on the Hospital and Community markets. The role will also include some account management and service requirements within the Aged Care market which also includes working with our key distributors for the total market in your state. Key to this role is building relationships with key stakeholders as you look to manage our existing account base and acquire new business to achieve sales growth in all target markets.

This role reports directly to the Business Unit Director for Ontex Healthcare.

Success in this role will ideally require:

 

  • Minimum three to five years experience selling Healthcare consumables in a competitive environment
  • Success in previous sales roles understands the critical importance of the sales process and how to influence key stakeholders in the market
  • Highly developed sales skills that give you the confidence to build strong rapport with industry stakeholders and key customers.
  • Ability and desire to establish and build rapport with new customers
  • Highly engaged around building brand and product awareness along with a strong sense of understanding of the consumer journey
  • Strong commercial acumen with a desire to meet your essential KPIs
  • B2B experience, along with knowledge of the distributor market.
  • Ability to work remotely and autonomously
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and background high level of autonomy
  • Aged Care / Healthcare experience is an advantage
