Manager Security Operations

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) plays a central leadership role in the development and operations of the Australian sport sector. It acts as the leading sports agency in Australia, building collaboration, alignment, and effectiveness within the Australian sport sector. The Infrastructure and Facilities Services Branch is responsible for operating and maintaining site facilities and infrastructure to a high quality and high level of availability in support of ASC operations. 

As the Manager of Security Operations, you will be the first point of contact for the Security team within the Security Office. This is a small team, so we are looking for a real team player, who thrives on a pivotal role dealing with a multitude of stakeholders. You will also be someone who enjoys variety in their work and will be able to multitask several priorities. In this role, you will manage 2 full time staff and ongoing security contracts.  

To be successful in the role, you will need to have:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Government Security, Venue, and Investigation fields.
• Demonstrated experience with security technology including alarms, access control and CCTV systems.
• Demonstrated record of providing leadership and management to achieve high personal and team performance and meet organisational and business objectives.
• Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling, and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making.
• Demonstrated experience in managing financial resources, risk management, and business planning.
• Experience delivering cultural change through influence and using innovative techniques.

 

Position is based in Canberra and will be available until February 2021.

 

This position requires the holder to be able to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance to NV1 level.

 

Salary range = $92,007 - $106,078 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.
