HSEQ Advisor

WHAT'S ON OFFER:
Buildability Group has been engaged to assist in the recruitment process for a Safety Advisor based in Sydney. This contractor have a large pipeline of work already secured for the next couple of years and are excited to open their doors to an experienced safety specialist, within their rail division. There is huge scope to grow and develop your career within this organisation, whilst gaining exposure across the heavy and passenger rail industries. They have the capabilities to undergo projects to $180m across a variety of works in the corridor - civil, track construction and maintenance, signaling and OHW. You will be given the utmost support along the way, whilst working alongside some of the best in our industry!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• National travel as required - base will be Sydney
• Review and monitor contractors' SWMS
• Oversee general site safety
• Lead site safety meetings
• Analysing site practice and implementation of improved practices
• Report and investigate incidents, injuries and hazards and implement agreed control measures
• Help promote HSEQ awareness on site
• Ensure compliance with the Site Management Plans
• Maintain all HSEQ records for projects, nationally
• Work with contractors and site teams to eliminate and reduce workplace risks 
  

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent Tertiary Qualifications
• Sound understanding of HSEQ Legislation and Regulations
• Previous experience in a Safety Advisor role on rail projects
• Previous experience working with ARTC will be highly regarded
