Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week), From $72,467 per annum (plus superannuation), Monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).
Council is seeking a professional, energetic and proactive Management Accountant who will monitor Councils capital expenditure budget and supervise Councils procurement and stores functions. Reporting to Councils Chief Financial Officer, this challenging position will also apply accounting and financial management principles within a diverse business, and assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
You will need demonstrated practical experience in financial accounting principles and practices, advanced spreadsheet skills and experience in the use of computerised financial accounting systems. Ideally you will also have a Degree / Diploma in Accounting / Finance; knowledge of Local Government accounting practices and the use of Civica Local Government accounting software (Practical Plus/Open Office); however, this is not essential.
