Business Development Manager - Government

Great Company Culture, Sales / new business focused role, Government experience.Our Client, a well-established and successful listed Company with a fantastic workplace culture, is looking for an experienced BDM focused on selling IT Services into Government accounts through networking, cold calling etc. The focus of the role will be on new business development.

  
  
Duties and responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining relationships – leveraging your network
  • Selling into existing account base and prospecting for new business
  • Ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities exists within your geographic area
  • Setting up strategic plans / go to market strategies for each client
  • Develop proposals relevant to the client’s needs and objectives
  • Own the proposal and bid response process
  • Handling objections
  • Ensure your competitive market knowledge is excellent
  • Managing information / data within the CRM systems – track and record information on accounts
  • Forecasting sales accurately

  
Skills and experience required:

  • Experience selling and servicing State Government agencies and departments
  • Solid knowledge of the ICT industry including cloud computing technologies and managed services in general
  • Relevant bachelor degree or qualifications
  • At least 5 years’ experience in sales and business development roles
  • Exceptional presentation and relationship building skills
