We have an opportunity for a dynamic, customer driven, mechanical Fitter/Machinist to join our innovative team.  This role will provide essential maintenance support to both the workshop and onsite mechanical projects. Ordinarily this would be a day shift Monday to Friday role however you may be required to work occasionally on a Saturdays or weekends when required to meet the needs of our valued customers.

 

Essential:

A trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter/Machinist with preventative maintenance and fault-finding experience in a heavy industrial industry

• Highest commitment to health and safety
• Must be confident with the refurbishment and machining of high tolerances 
• Must be able to read metric and imperial micrometers and technical drawings
• Experience with conventional lathe, vertical & horizontal borers, milling machines, Elga Mill and surface grinders
• Display initiative and have the ability to work independently
• Show commitment to high quality workmanship and customer service
• Be able to work on and offsite 
• Be physically fit and pass a pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing
• A positive attitude with a professional work ethic
• Be computer literate with excellent reporting and documentation skills 
• Leadership qualities highly advantageous

• Accredited bearing training

A permanent full-time position will be available to the successful candidate.

We are prepared to pay above industry rates for the right person.
