Administration and Stock Control Support Officer

Hico requires the full time services of an Administration and Stock Control Support Officer, for the Maffra Branch

Hico is a Victorian based Herd Improvement Co-operative with offices across Gippsland and Western Victoria. Working within the dairy industry Hico delivers a broad range of products and services to assist its shareholders in maintaining their dairy herds profitability while developing herd improvement, productivity, profitability and time and labour-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Administrative tasks such as:
    • Answering telephone calls
    • Accurate and concise message taking and forwarding to appropriate persons
    • Assist with customer enquiries
    • Provide Administration support for Milk Harvesting Department
    • Perform all duties in a professional manner at all times
  • Perform Stock Control tasks such as:
    • Assist with invoicing and accounts payable at our Maffra office
    • Receive and despatch merchandise stock as required at your branch
    • Maintain Hico's inventory system, maintaining stock records in Datagene
    • Manage supplier relations following appropriate ordering and supply processes
    • Maintain stock levels and prepare supplier purchase orders as necessary
    • Co-ordinate on farm delivery of customer purchases.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years retail experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent computer, keyboard and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and personal
  • Ability to co-operate with others and be flexible to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Clear thinking, ability to prioritise, willingness to use initiative and take

responsibility for decisions

  • Experience in online selling/set up would be beneficial
  • Forklift Licence would be an advantage
  • An understanding of the dairy industry would be an advantage.

This role reports to the Branch Manager Carey Walters and the Operations Supervisor Joanne de Moel.
