Optical Process Technician

ZEISS is a world leading optics company with a clear strategy and vision to further develop the Australian business.

We are seeking a casual Optical Technician to assist our ZEISS Tonsley Lab during busy periods. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for packing/unpacking lenses, collating spectacle frames to lens order and general hands on work, to start immediately.

Criteria:  

• Experience as a Process Worker / Picker Packer are encouraged to apply
• Ability to communicate and work within a team environment to meet customer needs and deadlines, with a can-do attitude
• Efficient and accurate pick & pack skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Willingness to learn new skills and embrace ZEISS values
• Ability to work without supervision but also as part of a team
• Ability to follow procedures, be able to adapt to change and be flexible
• Reliable and punctual
• Ensure work practices are maintained in accordance with WHS&IM policies and procedures
• Work in partnership with Branch Manager and team members to meet company targets
