About the role

Intelli-Systems is currently seeking enthusiastic candidates who are keen to pursue a career as an Apprentice Electrician. This role is suitable for candidates who enjoy physical work and have a high interest in electrical. This role would be ideal for anyone from 1st to 3rd year apprentice or the ability to commence an apprenticeship.

Probationary Period of 3 months will apply prior to sign up of apprenticeship

The role is in a unique area of critical infrastructure and focuses on well planned jobs as they are in a critical environment with tight timelines.

Mandatory Requirement

A mandatory requirement is to send a short video of yourself addressing the following questions:

Your responsibilities include.

  • Support the Onsite Electricians to complete their projects and jobs
  • Ensuring adherence to company HSEQ policies and following the directions of onsite Electricians
  • Ensure progress of learning from onsite experience and classroom requirements.
  • Be prepared to undertake Cert III in Electrotechnology & attend TAFE over a 4-year period.
  • You would be expected to attend TAFE one day a week to finish of your qualification.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Project Coordinator with project planning and collating parts and materials prior to execution
  • Prep and Packing of Equipment Ready for Delivery by External Delivery Teams or to Deliver using our tail lift vehicles with the help of Onsite Electricians
  • Receipting goods within Simpro and assigning to jobs.
  • Monitoring stock quantities, Ordering of Stock, fulfilment of stock
  • Completing Administrative reporting regarding time and materials used for jobs
  • Completing tasks as directed by Electricians

Skills and experience

Key considerations will be:

  • You are reliable, diligent, honest, and always punctual.
  • Hold a current Victorian drivers licence with the ability to obtain a Medium Rigid Truck licence.
  • Understand the importance of workplace health & safety.
  • You have great work ethic with a can-do attitude
  • Good problem-solving skills and be capable of using your initiative 
  • Have transport available to get to Mount Waverley as place of work
  • Hold a current White Card or willing to obtain one
  • Be committed in completing your apprenticeship and have genuine interest in electrical
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Strong mathematical skills and the confidence to use a wide range of tools
  • Permanent Australian Citizenship
  • Willing to undergo a Police check and WWCC
  • Excellent Computer Skills proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Interest in planning
  • Successful completion of electrical pre-apprenticeship
