This role is responsible for delivering excellence in tree care, to maximise the visitor experience. This is achieved through risk minimisation and presentation of tree specimens in line with interpretive goals. This position contributes to the maintenance and development of the tree collection, display of tree species, planning and implementation of new developments. The role will ensure Browse Plantations are pruned and harvested to provide maximum yields and quality.
Demonstrated physical capacity to carry out all elements of the role.
Qualified arborist to level 4 or above.
Certificate III Arboriculture.
Fully trained in QTRA risk assessment.
Chainsaw operator and tree felling certificates.
First Aid level 2.
EWP Operators certificate.
Current Victorian manual drivers licence
Current Working With Children Check
The successful candidate will deliver high standards of arboriculture with safety as a key element of operation. They will operate as an effective member of a team and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. This role requires high level of communication and interpersonal skills in developing and maintaining harmonious productive relationships with all stakeholders.
