About the Role

An outstanding opportunity now exists for a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team supporting our Customer and Enterprise business units consisting of a broad range of functions spanning across HR, legal, finance, corporate, sales and marketing. In this broad and challenging role you’ll work closely with procurement leaders, internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors to manage procurement requirements and help deliver business objectives for EnergyAustralia. Specifically, you will:

  • assist in end-to-end technology procurement processes including pipeline planning, sourcing, contracting, Supplier Lifecycle Value processes and savings tracking;
  • carryout data analysis to develop and deliver reporting, insights and advice on both internal spend and market intelligence;
  • ensure good governance through understanding and applying legal, OHS, ethical, sustainable and commercial requirements; and
  • identify and implement opportunities to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes.

About You

To be successful in the role you’ll possess demonstrated experience in direct and indirect procurement including sourcing and tender processes. Ideally, you’ll have earned this experience supporting corporate or retail focussed businesses.  In addition to your strong analytical and Excel skills you’ll ideally also possess experience working with procurement software such S4Hana and Ariba.

In addition to these technical skills you’ll be a natural problem solver, commercially savvy, highly organised and cable of managing multiple priorities in a busy environment. Most importantly, you’ll possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills which enable you to confidently engage, influence and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
