Claims Consultant

We are seeking empathetic individuals who have an inquisitive mind to manage a portfolio of life, disability insurance and income protection claims. 

This role will require you to use your analytical and investigative skills to make assessment decisions on the outcome of claims and communicate those decisions to customers. 

Using your ability to empathetically communicate with individuals going through a difficult time, you will have a meaningful impact on your customers' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build professional relationships with claimants, providing education and the best possible support and guidance throughout their claims journey
  • Work collaboratively with customers, and key stakeholders to obtain information, provide updates, create action plans and provide written and verbal decisions  
  • Develop and maintain outcome focused plans to assist customers return to work and good health 

Your Background 

  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to empathise 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to balance administration and customer service in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to gain knowledge of the process and investigative techniques of insurance claims 

You will be supported by an intensive in-house training program, providing claims management skills and knowledge, as well as the development of innovative claims strategies.
