Accounts Manager / Office Manager


Our client is a highly successful sub-contractor within the construction industry, operating and growing nationally over 20+ years.

They have a consistent presence across the country, servicing Tier 1 & 2 contractors within the multi-residential & commercial construction and infrastructure sectors. Employing directly 70 employees across the nation, undergoing projects and packages from $500k - $10m and turning over $25-30m annually, they are thriving!


This position is not your average accounts or administrative position. You will have a diverse scope and be given the opportunity to gain experience and get involved with various area of the business. In this laid back, yet busy subbie environment, you will have the ability to work from home, flexibility on hours as long as the work is getting done!


  • Assisting with payroll and ADHOC accounts duties (Xero)
  • Generating purchase order numbers
  • Looking after the subcontractor and supplier accounts
  • Assisting the Contract Administrators with cost reports and collating of data
  • Work closely with and assist the General Manager and Commercial Manager various tasks
  • Onboarding of workers on sites + into the business
  • General ADHOC duties


  • Previous experience working for a construction company
  • Must be an Australian Permanent Resident
  • Previous experience in payroll around 3-5 years
  • Previous experience using Xero (Payroll and Accounts) - Highly regarded
  • Advanced experience working with Excel
  • Being a key point of contact for queries
  • Strong telephone and communication skills
  • Able to multi task and manage a large workload
  • Strong attention to detail
