Minor Construction Supervisor - Water and Sewer

About the role

Sitting within our Water and Sewer Section, the Minor Construction Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and undertaking all aspects of water and sewer construction and maintenance works, including:

  • Staff / work supervision
  • Stakeholder management
  • Plan/drawing interpretation and conformance
  • Prepare estimates and track cost
  • Planning, control and completing works
  • Risk and WHS management
  • Completion of quality assurance documentation
  • Any other civil infrastructure related works
  • Manage subcontractors on site

The successful applicants will, from time to time, be required to work away for extended periods. The shifts will depend on the location and nature of the work.

About you

We are looking for candidates with a Certificate IV in Water/Wastewater Industry Operations or a Certificate IV Civil Construction Supervision. You will also have previous experience in water and sewer construction as well as experience leading teams.

You will also hold the following certificates, licences and Accreditations:

  • National Construction Induction Certificate (Whitecard)
  • Class MR Drivers Licence
  • Confined Spaces Entry Ticket
  • High-Risk Work Licence - Dogging
  • Traffic Control
  • Working Near Overhead Power Lines
  • Asbestos Bonded Removal
  • Butt Welding and Electrofusion

Starting salary of $62k + super
All other conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Council's Enterprise Agreement and NSW Local Government (State) Awards.
