Receptionist/Audio Typist - Specialist Medical Rooms

About the Position

  • Permanent, full-time position 
  • Salary range $45,472 to $55,328 per annum, plus 9.25% superannuation

BallaratOSM Pty Ltd is currently seeking to employ an enthusiastic and self motivated receptionist/audio typist who is able to demonstrate a high level of competency in the role and exemplary customer service skills.

This position will be required to achieve the following objectives:

  • Demonstrated commitment to, and role modelling of, the Vision, goals and values of Ballarat Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine 
  • Digital audio files are prioritised appropriately ensuring processing is efficient and accurate and that confidentiality of information is protected.
  • Phone, email, mail and paperwork enquiries are prioritised appropriately
  • Client management software coordination, arranging and scheduling of appointments is conducted in a timely and efficient manner 
  • Office records, information and file systems are maintained and updated ensuring retrieval of information is efficient and that confidentiality of information is protected 
  • Items identified as requiring follow up are always done in an efficient and appropriate manner, withinthe given timeframes 
  • Reception administration services are carried out in a professional manner 

Key Selection Criteria 

  • Computer skills: Demonstrated competent typist 50 wpm with digital audio typing experience and proven medical terminology skills
  • Customer service skills: Demonstrate the necessary professional skills to handle customer care needs in accordance with industry standards and organizational goals
  • Organisational skills: Demonstrated ability to be able to get things done in a coordinated manner so as to maintain orderliness in the office
  • Decision making skills: Demonstrated ability to make good decisions to protect the interest of the organisation
  • Continuous Improvement skills: Demonstrated commitment to continually improve and to strive for the achievement of high standards
  • Teamwork skills: Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team as a valuable contributor and also independently when required
  • Communication skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and oral communication skills to interact with people, understanding their needs and passing across information to them effectively
  • Computer skills: Experienced ability to enter information and schedule appointments using the computer system
