You are a highly organised, self-motivated individual with extraordinary communication skills and a passion for composing, formatting and editing correspondence. You have sound experience in a writing, media or communications role, relevant qualifications, exceptional administrative abilities, and high-level Microsoft Office experience. You are enthusiastic, energetic and positive, and pride yourself on your attention to detail and initiative. You work well independently or as part of a team and are capable of managing multiple concurrent challenging tasks. You are passionate and dedicated, demonstrating exceptional moral values in all that you do.
About the Role
Based in our Canberra National Office, supporting the team in the Justice and Immigration (J&I) business unit, you will provide timely and proactive management of correspondence on behalf of the Executive Management Team to internal and external stakeholders. You will use your ability to understand business contracts to ensure you are responding with up to date and accurate detail at all times. You will manage the correspondence inbox, folder and log; ensure the Home Affairs relationship remains strong; and coordinate correspondence reports for external meetings with stakeholders such as Home Affairs. You will leverage your experience, technical skills and Serco how to guides and processes todraft template information and collate effective and detailed responses for the relevant internal stakeholders; and file contract correspondence accurately.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Tertiary studies in Communication, Media, Journalism or a related qualification
- Strong administration, communications and/ or writing experience
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel
- Ability to deliver analytical and reporting support to the Executive Leadership Team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in contract management (desirable)
- Ability to interact with all levels within the business
