SMW Group is a proudly Central Queensland based business that recently listed on the NZX. It provides field servicing, maintenance, emergency repair and rebuild services within the resources industries and has a 20-year history of excellence. We are now seeking an enthusiastic Field Service Planner / Scheduler to join our ever-expanding team. This position will be based in our Mackay facility at Paget Industrial Estate and is part of a team located in Rockhampton. Flexibility to travel to/from these locations from time to time, including for initial training, is a must for this collaborative team. The successful candidate will be someone who has the ability to work well within tight scheduling time frames in a fast-paced and high energy environment. They will be competent in the remote supervision of site-based staff, highly organised, efficient with strong time management skills. This role requires someone who has the ability to work autonomously within the team, while also collaborative as part of the team. Customer focused care and attention to detail is essential. The Field Services Planner / Scheduler will have a combination of skills and experience that support a business-critical function that requires coordination, supervision, administration and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Duties & responsibilities
Provide field service planning / scheduling, coordination and administration support within the Field Services Team.
Provide labour scheduling for trade/cleaning services, shutdowns and projects.
Assist in the management of a roster for 150+ employees with forecasting two weeks in advance.
Responsible for keeping internal rosters and data bases up to date.
Provide customer support and supply estimates for employee availability and engagement in a timely and professional manner.
Process conversion of estimates to work orders within “TimeTarget” system.
Raise purchase requisitions/orders for accommodation, parts and consumables as required.
Comply with all SMW Group Workplace Health and Safety obligations and fatigue management requirements.
Skills & experience
Previous exposure to the mining / labour hire industry
Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and complete work to deadlines
Strong MS Suite skills
Previous experience with TimeTarget and Powerlink or other rostering program highly regarded
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop effective client and employee relationships
Must be able to work and remain calm within a busy team environment
Highly motivated and driven
