Underground Mining Electrician FIFO/ DIDO or Kalgoorlie based

We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified mining electricians for an immediate start to join the JTMEC team in Kalgoorlie. This position is a FIFO/ DIDO from Perth or Kalgoorlie based, with 8/6 or 14/14 roster available. This role is initially for a period of 2 -3 months with the potential of becoming FT position.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Servicing, maintenance, diagnosing, repairs and statutory testing of electrical equipment including Jumbos, Solos, Mono & Flygt pumps, ventilation fans and leaky feeder system.
  • installations for a wide range of High Voltage & Low Voltage electrical equipment and infrastructure.
  • ensuring all site statutory requirements are met; and
  • servicing, maintenance and fault finding of all associated electrical equipment on site. Ranging from underground to ore processing
  • All other projects on site.


To be successful, you will need to have previous underground mining experience, preferably in a similar role.  You will also have a

  • Current drivers and
  • Electrical license,
  • CPR and LV rescue certificates and
  • current HV switching accreditation.
  • LV/HV Motors, HV switchgear/switching
  • Strong fault finding ability and ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Able to pass ongoing medical, drug and alcohol testing
