Receptionist / Office and Legal Assistant

Burns & Tinney have an opportunity for an enthusiastic receptionist and assistant to join their friendly team.  We are a small well-established law firm in Greensborough.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills:

  • excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • taking accurate messages by phone, answering enquiries, sorting mail, scanning documents, opening and closing client files
  • maintaining deed / register packets
  • assist with bookkeeping (experience with Xero would be beneficial), and liaising with external bookkeeper
  • assist with trust account entries
  • ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • positive can-do attitude
  • ability to build relationships with clients and co-workers
  • experience with Microsoft Office and, preferably, with Leap software or similar software
  • experience with Pexa would be beneficial

The successful applicant will be caring and compassionate of our clients needs.

Duties include:

  • answering the telephone and meeting and greeting clients
  • making appointments
  • administration and office tasks, including banking
  • assisting the Principal and experienced conveyancing clerks 
  • assisting with Probate and Conveyancing files

Salary commensurate with experience and skills. Full-time position.
