This is an exciting opportunity to be part of TAFE NSW Meat & Allied Trades team. The Meat & Allied Trades Toolstoreperson is responsible for providing high level customer service to support the effective and efficient delivery of educational programs.
Reporting to the Staffing Pool Coordinator, this position
Undertakes general cleaning, oiling maintenance and painting of workshop machines/equipment to ensure equipment is reliable and safe.
Performs general cleaning of workshop (where this work is not carried out by contract Cleaning Staff).
Maintains stock control systems including; prepare requisitions for goods and services, receipt, acquit and distribute goods and services and maintain adequate inventory of stores and equipment.
Implements environmental best practice standards, such as reclaiming materials for re-use/recycle, in consultation with stakeholders.
Prepares and issues tools, equipment and materials required by students and staff for the conduct of classes.

Have a passion for the Meat & Allied Trades Industry.
Have previous experience in maintaining store layout, store records and stock control.
Have the ability to support effective program delivery through maintenance of facilities, machinery, small machinery in stores and equipment.
Demonstrated experience working within the Meat & Allied Trades Industry or related work areas.
Previous experience in receipt, issue and maintenance of trade tools and equipment.
Previous experience in store layout, procedures and maintenance of store records including stock control.
Ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.
