Administrative Assistant / Client Relations Manager

We are a progressive accounting, bookkeeping and business improvement solutions firm in Darwin, seeking the services of an experienced Client Relations Officer / Administrative Assistant. This role will support staff members and clients and is very customer focused - you will be building relationships with our clients, in a friendly and professional way.

You will need to be organised and motivated, with a strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills, as you will be the first point of contact for our clients and you will be responsible for overseeing the flow of work between team members and clients.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for clients, and building relationships with clients to ensure their needs are understood
  • Monitoring the progress of tasks to ensure that processes and procedures are being followed and internal compliance requirements are met
  • Liaising between staff and clients to facilitate the completion of all client needs and requirements
  • Calendar management
  • General administrative duties e.g. answering phones, greeting clients, taking bookings and responding to email queries
  • Accounts receivable management
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators for larger projects
  • Monitoring and maintaining our client database

Qualifications and experience:


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to understand and learn new technology or software / applications quickly and easily
  • Ability to stay calm and focused when under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Confidence when speaking or negotiating with clients
  • Knowledge of; or experience in, the accounting industry


  • Minimum 2 years experience in an administration / client relations role
  • Knowledge of; or experience in, the technology industry

We have two trading entities (TCA Accountants & Bookkeepers + ABI Partners) and we operate these two businesses under the one roof

In the bookkeeping and accounting space, we have a small team who manage end to end service for clients with turnover < $2 million. We also serve a small number of larger clients with turnover > $2 million. For the larger clients, our team performs the compliance and business improvement functions, then we collaborate with RSM Global - who complete the high level advisory and audit functions.

In the technology and automation space, we have a small team offering
process improvement advisory and implementation support services. As described above, we use a variety of tools to make automation possible.

Our trading hours are Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm and we do not work weekends. We have a small team (usually 6 staff) and we work hard to maintain a supportive, peaceful and friendly team environment.
