Field Service Electrical Technician - Power Generation
Taranis Power Group is a locally owned and operated electrical contractor specialising in power generation. We provide a high-quality service across all industries with a specific focus on the mining, oil & gas, marine and large commercial markets.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager we are seeking an experienced electrical technician to start immediately to work in the Perth Metro and in the more remote regions of WA so, regional travel will be required, as needed.
Knowledge of the Pilbara & Goldfields regions would be an advantage.
This is principally an autonomous role, supported by the operations teams in Perth and Karratha. The candidates must be familiar with 415Vac, 3.3kV - 11kV generating plant and equipment, alternators and associated control systems.
Experience in fault finding in generators as a package that includes the prime mover, engine wring systems, alternator and control system on a range of different gensets including but not exclusively...Cummins, CAT, MTU, Volvo, etc. is essential.
Proven ability from prior experience in utilising, installing, programming and commissioning across a varied range of genset controllers including ComAp. DIEF and Deep Sea (DSE) is also a must.
Applicants must have a customer focused approach to ensuring that communications with clients are always professional and maintain a high level of interaction and reporting to keep the client suitably informed.
All candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical, D & A test and police check.
The following tickets/qualifications: Lock-holders, Personal Isolation Officer, Iron Ore Essentials, Electrical Workers Competency would be also be an advantage.

Unrestricted electrical licence with 5 years post trade experience is required.
