The Mendi Group are a leading civil construction company based in Townsville, North Queensland. With over 60 years experience in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects. Due to project requirements we are seeking a multi-skilled Site Safety Officer capable of assisting with site administration to join our team at several remote project sites.
North Queensland Based. FIFO/DIDO Townsville or Rockhampton. Full-Time contract based.
The successful applicant will report to the Project Manager and project management team, responsible for onsite administration and HSE duties. They must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and be able to work unsupervised and be part of a team.
Assist with site inductions. Maintain and manage HSE, subcontractor and site office documentation. Maintain spreadsheets, assist with project reporting requirements and general administration tasks. Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and standards. Conduct site safety inspections, participate in tool box talks and pre-start meetings. Implement and review site related risk assessment. Hazard identification and incident investigation and reporting Desire to assist with any day to day project tasks as required.
Experience and skills
Min 2 years project/office administration experience, preferably in civil construction or engineering environment. Desirable Cert IV/WHS or Diploma WHS or equivalent experience. Attention to detail, excellent time management and organisational skills. Experience in Excel, Word and Outlook.
