About us:

Roberts & Morrow is one of the largest regional accounting Firms in NSW. We are a reputable, privately owned, growing Firm employing over 140 staff with 14 Partners. We provide a range of accounting, financial and IT services with offices across NSW and QLD.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Office Manager to join our progressive team. The successful candidate will be based in our office in Glen Innes, NSW.

 

About the role: 

The Officer Manager is a vital role within the Firm and will be responsible for the overall management of the office, organising and coordinating office administration and procedures to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.  The Office Manager will be required to streamline administrative procedures, inventory control, staff supervision and task delegation. 

  • Partner with Human Resources to maintain office policies as necessary
  • Organise office operations and procedures
  • Ensure office efficiency is maintained by carrying out planning and execution of equipment procurement, layouts and office systems
  • Responsible for developing and implementing office processes by establishing and implementing procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office
  • Assign and monitor clerical, administrative and secretarial responsibilities and tasks among office staff
  • Coordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Responsible for developing standards and promoting activities that enhance operational procedures
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment
  • Facilitate collaboration with all R&M offices and teams to continuously improve efficiencies and sharing of resources
  • Maintain an awareness of changes to legislation and industry practices.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with Partners, staff members, all other R&M offices and the Operations team
  • Actively support the Workflow Coordinator to direct team workflow to ensure timely and accurate completion of jobs.
  • Overall performance of the team including meeting relevant KPIs
  • Supporting staff to achieve their professional development goals through Training, Performance Development Reviews and associated action plans
  • Establishing effective communication channels with the team Partners, within the team generally and with other teams within the Firm.

 

Selection Criteria: 

Essential: 

Minimum 3 years proven Office Management experience  

Knowledge of Clerical and Human Resources practices and procedures

Demonstrated strong Leadership and Management skills

Previous experience in managing a high performing team  

Proven ability to be an integral leader in driving and implementing cultural change

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High Attention to detail
