Deliver Protection Systems designs for assigned projects and tasks adhering to relevant policies, standards and practices, project budget and timeframes.
Confidentlytakeresponsibility for the Protection Systems Design component of the project lifecycle from scoping and estimation through to post-commissioning.
Collaboratewith internal designers, other design groups, design standards and asset investigations to ensure successful design and project outcomes
About the role
You will be part of a close knit protection design team delivering protection design in a supportive and collaborative manner across operational design and projects
You will be able to work on a challenging and rewarding portfolio of Transmission projects that will build on your existing power system knowledge
You will be building your technical capability in IEC-61850 Station Bus by delivering designs that incorporate multi-vendor products
You have the opportunity to be involved in renewable energy connections design and providing subject matter expert support from concept to commissioning
You an experienced Protection Engineer passionate about using your Protection Systems Design expertise to protectingHV & EHV transmission systems.
You have enjoyed studying a tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering and build your specialisation in protection design, ideally in a transmission environment.
You are more than capable to manage your own design portfolio and deadlines, even when challenging.
You get your motivation from designing complex protection schemes and developing effective protection design solutions.
