Regarding the role, they are happy to look at someone with four years experience who wants to step into a Senior Accountant position or someone who is a Senior Accountant and wants to be an Assistant Manager! This is a permanent position and you will be given your own client base! A lot of clients are in the agricultural sector so they are very friendly and down to earth and there is no need to look out of place in stiff corporate clothes!
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Preparing financial statements and tax returns in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards
Conducting tax compliance reviews of tax and FBT returns
Meetings with clients to discuss financial reports, tax returns and tax estimates
Helping to identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues
Preparing and analysing management accounting reports
Applying knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry
Assisting junior employees with work and act as a mentor/buddy
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Minimum of four years’ experience in accounting
Business/Commerce degree with Accounting major
CA or CPA qualifications or working towards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team
Experience in the agricultural sector would be advantageous
