This MNC operates nationally in a range of industry sectors and has a firm commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. As one of the mechanisms to support this, the firm is seeking to build a Carbon offset business, with an initial predominant focus on Carbon Farming leading to the potential for other proven sequestration technologies.
As a leader in the Carbon sector, you will have developed an unparalleled knowledge base in the sector, including but not limited to:
Expertise in carbon sequestration and GHG emissions sector including technical and regulatory requirements, value realization and economic feasibility assessment.
Considerable experience in the development of economically sound business case approach and managing stakeholders through the investment approvals process.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a range of carbon sequestration methodologies
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
As a leader in your sector, you will naturally possess:
Capability to lead, direct & motivate technical and operational professionals in multi-disciplinary project teams.
High level of business acumen, including planning, reporting, and operational management.
High level written & verbal communication skills.
Superior presentation, negotiation & influencing skills.
While this is a leadership opportunity, it is expected that the successful candidate will be capable of ‘rolling up their sleeves’ and becoming familiar with all facets of the business operations. Additionally, the ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and identify opportunities for business enhancement is essential.
