Qualifications & experience

  • University graduate who has completed, or is in final year of completing a relevant industry degree, and has commenced or commencing postgraduate studies for Diploma and / or Advanced Diploma in Financial Services
  • Understanding of ASIC compliance requirements for financial planning
  • General IT knowledge, including Intermediate level MS Word and Excel skills
  • Experience with COIN Software (preferred, not essential, training will be provided)
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry
  • Effective prioritising skills with an ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment and ability to build rapport with people at all levels across the business


Role & responsibilities

  • Financial strategy modelling using modelling software or other relevant software (including inhouse programs)
  • Modelling financial planning strategies including; debt management / consolidation, portfolio construction, wealth creation, pre-retirement and post-retirement planning, estate planning, insurance, Centrelink and superannuation (including self managed superannuation funds)
  • Preparation and Review of Statements of Advice (SOAs) and other reports as directed by Adviser/s
  • Liaison with Advisers to identify information required for satisfactory completion of SOAs and other reports
  • Ensure SOAs and other reports comply with ASIC & Morgans requirements
