About the Opportunity

As Oliver Hume embarks on an exciting strategic journey, the Chief Digital Officer will lead the transformation of traditional operations using digital processes, generating new business opportunities and revenue streams from the adoption of digital technologies.  Providing thought leadership, the Chief Digital Officer will foster a culture and mindset centred on shaping digital services, market disruption and customer behaviour. Oliver Hume has invested significantly in its CRM and now wishes to take this investment and complimentary proprietary applications to new levels.

The position will oversee four core areas; Digital Strategy, Digital Transformation, Embedding a Digital Culture and Operational.

Responsible for managing the internal/external digital team, the main responsibilities will include:

  • Challenge, interpret and execute the Oliver Hume Proptech digital strategy.
  • Champion the Oliver Hume Proptech digital strategy throughout the group.
  • Conceptualise and lead the implementation of innovative digital strategies that support the Groups strategic objectives and direction.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team and Digital Board providing thought leadership on digital and technological advancements.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices, sharing this knowledge with the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver technology solutions that will lead to improved decision making and customer experience.
  • Oversee the ongoing development of customer facing platforms and the customer experience, driving continuous improvements in product quality and speed of delivery.
  • Improve business performance and processes by optimising digital and technology strategies.
  • Transform the Group to a lead generated model, generating owned leads.
  • Working with Oliver Hume leaders to identify innovative avenues to commercialise leads and generate new business revenue streams.
  • Implement effective change management strategies to ensure a seamless transition of digital and technology system changes and updates.
  • Build staff capability ensuring business processes are aligned with digital objectives.

About the Person

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in digital marketing, data science or related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a leadership role within a digitally focussed organisation.
  • Previous success leading a team that has taken an organisation on a digital transformation journey.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation to align operational requirements and business strategy.
  • Attuned to the latest new technologies & market trends, with proven experience promoting and embedding new ways of working.
  • Strong leadership skills inspires & empowers teams to deliver on Group goals with a customer centric approach.
  • Strong understanding of the drivers of innovation in achieving competitive advantage.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, board members and peers.
  • Substantial knowledge of change management techniques and how these can be employed to facilitate the deployment and enhancement of new digital and technology systems.
  • Extensive experience managing programs and projects with demonstrated ability to deliver on time and to budget.
