The Design and Construction Coordinator is a newly created role.
This key role is responsible for ensuring the detailed design requirements for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) are incorporated into Development Applications, Construction Certificates, and are correctly included during the construction process.
The SDA Design Standards have a suite of requirements which must be incorporated into each home. Where relevant the architectural and other specifications need to include every one of these requirements.
- An eye for detail is essential.
- The outcome is to have SDA-approved homes at the levels anticipated in each business case.
- Throughout the construction phase it is essential that the builders include each of the requirements.
Your background will most likely involve either architecture, project management, or construction.
You are a special person whose DNA will resonate with the culture we have carefully nurtured as an outcomes-focused not-for-profit.
You will be bright, will have a pleasing personality, and are self-sufficient in daily activities.
Our office is centrally based at Ryde which is well serviced with public transport. Independent Living Villages Ltd (ILV) is a fast-growing charity whose sole purpose is to provide purpose-designed homes for people with disabilities. Currently focused in Sydney & NSW, the company is one of Australias more innovative NDIS providers, which realised at inception, that navigating the NDIS processes to secure appropriate funding was the major point-of-difference when compared to a for-profit property developer.
