This mid sized, privately owned financial planning business is currently seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their elite team of dedicated Financial Planning professionals, and take their career to the next level.

One of their most experienced Paraplanners has been internally promoted to an Advising role and can provide a smooth hand over of work to the incoming Paraplanner. Your primary responsibility is writing a variety of SOAs, but with the potential to attend client appointments also. If you are currently in a Paraplanning role but feel as though you are not getting the exposure you need to further your career, this could be your chance to progress.
Some of your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Preparation of tailored comprehensive Statements of Advice (SOAs) & Records of Advice (ROAs)
Review/analyse client's financial statements, legal documents and other data
Manage direct equity quarterly review process
Prepare financial calculations/detailed cashflow projections for scenarios requested by Advisors
Conduct peer reviews on advice document (Ensure all documents produced are fully compliant and in line with company policies)
Update advice templates and contribute to development of new templates as required
Make additional/alternative strategy suggestions
Contribute ideas/suggestions to enhance productivity and support team as required
The Ideal candidate will have:
The quality of your paraplanning experience is more important than the length of time you have been paraplanning, but as a rough guide 18 months + experience is ideal
DFP/tertiary qualification in relevant field (preferred)
Computer literacy Excel, Word (Intermediate - Advanced) and X-plan experience including Xtools (essential)
Team player with exceptional attention to detail and initiative
Demonstrated well developed interpersonal skills including a sound ability to develop relationships
Sound communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritise
They are very supportive of career progression to Advising, but they would also be very comfortable with a career paraplanner or someone wanting to progress into management. They are big enough to cater for most career aspirations.
