Human Resource Coordinator [6 month Part-Time Contract Position - may extend]

About the Role:

Take this opportunity to join Community Connection - an organisation that has supported people living with disability for over 28 years.  As Human Resource Coordinator you will coordinate the on-boarding and training process, and ensure that every new employee is guided through their beginning with Community Connection in a seamless and supported way. 

 

Job Summary:  

The On Boarding and Training Consultant role is a part time role (25 hours per week); and responsible for starting up new employees and delivering the induction.  The role will work as part of the Management Team at Community Connection in our Kirwan office; and is considered the starting point for all new employees once they have been offered a position.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the Management Team to deliver a skilled workforce whose values align with those of Community Connection. 
  • Delivery of day to day HR operations in line with organizational strategies and objectives
  • Ensure all mandatory in house training is delivered in a timely manner
  • Compliance for Employees Criminal History Checks
  • Other relevant Human Resource support

 

Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar HR role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (must be confident with speaking to an audience)
  • High attention to detail 
  • A high standard of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality 
  • Sound judgment and mature business acumen 
  • Ability to make quality decisions under pressure 
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work to resolving issues of complexity
  • Open Australian Drivers License
  • Satisfactory criminal history screening (Yellow and Blue Card) or willing to acquire 
  • Previous technical experience with setting up smart phones and tablets.  

 

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in the disability sector
  • Qualified JP or Commissioner for Declarations (or ability to obtain this)
