Finance Officer

Due to strong organic growth in recent years, SuperFeast is on the hunt for a capable and ambitious Financial Officer to assist with financial planning and analysis, reporting, financial hygiene and controls. The business is expanding into new markets and is an industry leader in its space. The timing has never been better to join this successful and high performing team. The ideal candidate will run SuperFeasts Finance team (supported by a part-time bookkeeper). SuperFeast is based in Mullumbimby, NSW, and the successful candidate will be required to be on-site several days a week (some flexibility is possible).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Exec team in determining department budgets and forecasts;

  • Prepare insightful and value-added reporting and analysis for Exec team;

  • Manage FX contracts;

  • Manage part-time bookkeepers role;

  • Coordinate with our external tax accountant to ensure all tax requirements are fulfilled;

  • Formulate sound financial policies, processes and procedures designed to protect the assets of the business;

  • Have month-end accounting reconciliations completed within a defined timeframe;

  • Ad-hoc responsibilities as required by senior management; and

  • Coordinate stock accounting and purchasing decisions with the Warehouse Manager/Purchasing Manager.


  • Be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and be CA/CPA qualified;

  • Experience within a business with a global presence is desirable (particularly across US, NZ & Asia);

  • Proven industry experience performing either financial or management accounting and overseeing a team;

  • Be familiar with most aspects of project and inventory accounting;

  • Experience in an inventory-based business is desirable;

  • Possess technical accounting skills;

  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload & effectively manage staff;

  • High levels of time management & organisational skills; 

  • Be willing to challenge the opinions of others and in turn be challenged yourself; and

  • Have an ability to communicate across all organisation levels.
