Muloobinba provides a safe place for Aboriginal Children, young people and their families and facilitates access to a range a services such as health, counselling and support services.
Included under the umbrella of the services Muloobinba provides is the Nikinpa Child and Family Centre. The centre offers a range of childcare services as well as a number of other services that support the Aboriginal Community in the Westlakes area.
Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation looking for a passionate hands on individual to fill the Aboriginal Identified position of Cleaner/Care Taker based at Nikinpa Aboriginal Child & Family Centre, Toronto NSW. This is a full time position of 38 hours per week. Varied hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
The Cleaner/Care Taker role oversees the general upkeep of the grounds and facilities at Nikinpa. This role includes both internal and external cleaning activities to a high level of standard and comply with the Health and Safety Legislation, as well as lawn, garden and general maintenance.
We are looking for a candidate who has:
Aboriginal or Torres Straight Island decent
Previous experience in completing internal and external cleaning schedules
Understanding of Infection Control and Handling Hazardous Material procedures in relation to cleaning
Previous experience completing garden and lawn maintenance
Ability to complete general maintenance and repairs on buildings as required
Good communication skills
A genuine desire to work within a team
Understanding of WHS legislation

Appointment to this position will be subject a Working with Children Check Clearance.
A remuneration package will be paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Homecare and Disability Services Industry Award plus superannuation, leave loading and full salary packaging.
