As a progressive thinking building company we are helping to revolutionise building techniques in Australia. We specialise in the pre-fabricated construction of modular type housing, healthcare and commercial projects.

Karpentry specialise in the construction of modular wall, floor and roof assemblies along with pre-clad systems specific to the job.

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to step up to a managerial role to lead a team of carpenters in all daily carpentry operations.

The Role: 

  • Carry out and manage construction activities; Read and interpret engineering, architectural and shop drawing plans
  • Liaise with Inhouse engineers and architects 
  • Willing to work in a factory environment, manufacturing cassette systems and walls. 
  • Willing to work onsite or potentially away when installing systems.
  • Internal lock up and fixing of projects.
  • Adherence to all OHS and Quality legislation and Quality policies within the business
  • Work under the guidance of the Project Manager. 
  • Manage systems and materials process by ensuring manufacturers specifications and Australian standards are met.
  • Fit-out and fixture of doors and all building hardware and fittings.
  • Management of the installation of windows.
  • Read drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures / layout.
  • Use of hand tolls
  • Use power tools, e.g. electric/battery drills, power saws, routers, sanders, planers, laser levelling devices, pneumatic (air) tools, e.g. nail guns.

About you: 

  • Qualified Carpenter with modular housing experience
  • Ability to run a team of carpenters with a can do attitude
  • At least 2 years+ experience in a similar type role
  • Construction Induction (White Card) or be willing to obtain prior to starting 
  • Knowledge of construction procedures
  • An ability to undertake manual/physical work
  • Current drivers licence and roadworthy vehicle
  • Nail bag and basic hand tools 
  • Positive attitude towards safety and working in a team
  • Ability to communicate and maintain good rapport on site
  • A commitment to quality and an eye for detail 
  • Commitment to seeing a task through to completion
