Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Event Management prowess needed, Less than fulltime may be considered..The City of Charles Sturt represents a vibrant and dynamic community unlike any other in South Australia. Over the past three years the City has delivered a significant infrastructure program valued at over $250m, further enhancing the approximately $1.7b asset base.
The Executive Assistant provides a high level of professional support to the Mayor to ensure excellence in service delivery and customer experience for all community members.
Diary and email management are critical to ensuring the Mayor is able to manage their workload and time. As such you will need strong attention to detail, know what is urgent and important and have the ability to draft correspondence for the Mayor. You will also maintain processes that ensure the Mayor is well prepared for all the events that they attend within the Community.
Your event management skills will also be well utilised as a key aspect of this role is the organisation of events and functions hosted by the Mayor, including Citizenship ceremonies and other events.
Collaboration is key to success in this role as you will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the CEO, the Media Marketing and Communications team, the CEO and the leadership team as well as other stakeholders both internal and external.
This role requires a self-starter who is a team player. Highly organised, you will have the systems in place to ensure no small detail is missed and you will have the interpersonal skills that will enable you to gain the respect of all those with whom you interact.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, however consideration will also be given to part-time candidates seeking 0.8 – 1.0 FTE.
