ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a Workshop Controller to join our flagship Launceston Toyotateam inKings Meadows. This is a full-time, permanent Monday - Friday position, reporting to the Dealership Service Manager.
As one of the most important, full paced roles within the workshop, responsible for assigning tasks to vehicle technicians in one of our largest and busiest workshops, we're looking for someone with a well-developed mechanical background who can deliver a seamless workshop operation, focused on safety, maximizing technicians' productivity and efficiency and achieving deadlines in the interest of quality servicing and repairs and exceptional customer outcomes.
Ensure that the flow of daily work is managed in an efficient and precise manner
Determine accurate service and repair timeframes and schedule accordingly
Ensure all jobs are completed efficiently and ahead of schedule wherever possible and to a high standard
Assist workshop technicians to ensure that the highest level of guest satisfaction is achieved by servicing and repairing vehicles right the first time and promoting a safe, productive and efficient culture
Provide training, mentoring and leadership to workshop team members
Provide timely liaison with internal key stakeholders as well as manufacturers
Ensuring that all OHS standards are maintained and deficiencies or incidents are promptly reported
A manual drivers licence
Qualified automotive trade background and substantial industry experience
Strong eye for detail, high standard of quality and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear and concise instructions
Able to work independently and as part of a busy team
Punctual, reliable and productive
Previous experience in a dealership environment, ideally in a similar role (specifically Toyota experience) would be highly regarded
